This is the (gulp) blog for Mark C. Partridge – aspiring journalist and foreign affairs expert. It is meant as a place for discussion of seismic events in the world – particularly in the Anglo-American realm. Like all things that are new unto this world, this blog will emerge wobbly legged and blurry eyed; however, it will hopefully reach maturation quickly, becoming more focused in its concerns, more selective in its postings, more erudite in its insights.

A quick biography of your ringmaster: Mark C. Partridge is a British-American citizen who has traveled extensively in his short lifetime, spending time on both coasts in the U.S., England, Scotland, Taiwan, the European continent and Asia. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Reading, U.K., where he double majored in History and Economics, and later earned his MA in Modern History from University College London, graduating with Distinction (Highest Honors.) Mr. Partridge was an author and co-editor of the Emerging Market daily newsletter at the international consulting firm Garten Rothkopf LLC, where he also composed reports on global trends in investment. Previously, he worked at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, assisting with the researching, writing and editing of Visiting Scholar David Rothkopf’s forthcoming book, Superclass. He currently reports on European business and affairs for the Diplomatic Courier.

That is all the preamble that is necessary, so, in the words of Tobias Funke, “Let the great experiment begin!”
